So you can push/pull other pistons now. That's massive.

1.7 looks interesting enough to entice me to play this again. Sadly that 2D thingymabob didn't seem to have the lasting appeal. Strange though it may seem for a blocky, eye wateringly textured game with square bouncing pigs, Minecrack is much more immersive.

Pistons? Awesome - perhaps I can make a V8-powered door.

The downside would be £260 for car tax, as I've just discovered.

I wonder how pistons react with pistons reacting with pistons which react with pistons and pistons while being pushed by pistons towards a piston pushed by a piston stuck onto a piston, and all that controlled by a single lever.

I'd love the server to be back up when 1.7 comes.

If we want to convince Spoodie to restart the server, we'll have to come up with A New Project. Building the Tower was bloody awesome, and I think having some mechanical brains behind the next one would have been awesomer, if that was a word.

Given the new rpg style element and (hopefully) more dangerous critters, I'd love to build a big castle, complete with moats, working drawbridges (piston powered of course!), hot oil (lava) holes, and self sufficient bacon farm.

oooh, lava traps! Pressure plates linked up to pistons to release lava on animals heads! Toasty!

The Isengard project was very enjoyable, I'd love to get involved in something like that again. Except four times bigger and with less excavating, and pistonny goodness of course.

I'll reactive the server for 1.7. I'm intrigued as well. Get thinking of some ideas.

Grimmie has said he'd like a town and I'm in agreement. We could set-up a grid of plots, say 16x16 block for each plot, with roads between. You can build only within the plot, but as far down as you like, perhaps with a limit on height for sensibleness. This could be on or near the spawn and be a place where anyone could come along, claim a plot and just build something, or make a base for themselves. I wouldn't suggest this as a big project, it'd be better if it grew slowly over time I think.

How does everyone feel about a fresh world?

City of Arches is a very inspirational town build project, done over the span of two weeks.

So, it'd probably take 5punkers two days, right?

Sounds good to me, I'm looking forward to this. I just want a hidden magic door like in the video!

Also, pistons can control water flow is also very cool. I'm sure some funky stuff can be done with that.

I very much like this idea. Might I suggest that we come up with a rough "town plan" beforehand? That way we could put some sort of cart-train terminal at/near the spawn, and build up around that. We could even designate some farm plots, for trees and suchlike. That way, the communual parts have a planned structure to them, which we can all chip in on without worry about fucking up someone elses idea of how it should be.

Oh, and yes: Fresh world!

Good idea. Is there some kind of online drafting tool we can collaborate on, or some kind of drawing tool? And if we make the whole town the shape of a CDC there'll be no need to draw more all over it, maybe.

Yeah, this. As much as there was some great stuff on the old one, there was also a lot of lava. I suspect my carefully crafted dungeon was somewhere under one of the not so carefully crafted lava flows that seemed to have been popping up all around the spawn.

I did wake up to find my front door on fire, but turned it into a desirable feature instead. Unfortunately it incinerated the estate agent when he came round to give it a valuation.

I think 16x16 would be a bit too small personally, but I like the idea.
