I can't think of something that hasn't already been said. It was a great weeekend
Maybe getting a couple of scheduled games on the friday night, to get people into the flow of things, but get everytihng installed ready.
How about a little discussion board on your interweb, so people can find out if anyuone else wants to pklay a game easier?

another thing from me: the Q3 freeze tag was much better than the other quake we played. was a personal opinion but i think widely shared.

Tried it in the past - no bugger will used it.
Using the interweb to advertise "now and next" games will help.
I think in an event the size of multiplay - yes. But it's easier to join TS or just shout.
Perhaps a "what do you want to play" channle in ts?

I was in a server last night playing the cs_kismayo map and it was ace. Quite big perhaps, but good fun. They had some really good mods on it too, and was filled with a "group of like-minded players" rather than a clan. Was top fun, what!

de_kismayo is better, hossies get stuck too much in the cs version.
BlkKnight, put up a notice sayiong what the next planned game is and when it starts. let people come to you and book up a slot a few hours in advance if theres summat they wanna play.

How about setting everyone up with xfire at the LAN? And I think it was one of our codemonkeys who managed to create an exe to add Everyone in a file to the xfire list... then you know exactly what people are playing, and you could also have the mods advertising what organised game is coming up and stuff using it.. Would be a bit of bother convincing everyone to set themselves up with it though
