West London MiniBash
So, a London MiniBash - suggesting a pub or something then crash at nearest house/ tube it home?
Maybe somewhere around Shepard's Bush, Ealing?
Who is about, what dates can we do?
Lets get cat herding!

Ealing is about 10 mins by train from where I live now, so I'd be up for that and/or crash at my place afterwards. Downside is the Ealing pubs are generally overcrowded and a bit shit*. But otoh there's a couple of decent fud places not far from Ealing Broadway which make very good alternative venues (Carluccio's springs to mind). The Grange pub on the Common, which is my old local and usually a little less crammed than the town centre.
*I'm an antisocial old man and am easily irritated by the peasantry.
So my suggestion is: meet up in Ealing at around 1800 ish? get fud, get drunk, go home. Either tube/train or if beds are needed I have a shit ton of space in West Drayton within very easy reach (last train at midnight or night bus works)
When? I have no life so any date apart from April 2 is free.
Edit: I also have lots of spare table space and have just bought a big 40" TV if people are inclined to bring toys and stay the weekend

Shepherds Bush or Ealing works for me, easy to Tube home.
Fri/Sat night perhaps?, Feb is not so good for me, 2nd half of March to allow Rabbit some time to move in?
Edit for Reading Friz's email: The Castle Bar nearer to West Ealing does great burgers and has some nice beers, not so busy as the ones nearer to Ealing Broadway. The Drayton Court is another good one, pretty big with decent food.

All good with me, I can get the tube into Ealing reasonably easily. Used to live in Ealing Common so know a few places round there, but yes i'd tend to agree with the overcrowded/bit shit assessment, but I also have old man tendencies. Cant be having any riff-raff spilling my pint can we.
I used to drink after work at The Graystoke in north Ealing which did good and cheap burgers, but its probably a bit further out. There is a good Irish bar in Ealing common, but doesn't do food. Broadway, The North Star is a good pub but always rammed.
Anyway, lets sort a date. How about 18th March?

I assumed it was still going ahead, since most of us have said that we're still on for it (well, 3 out of 4 anyway, fag boy's being a fag).ProfHawking wrote:So guys, whats the plan?
Is tomorrow night still going ahead or are we postponing?
Head to West Ealing for around 1900 Hrs on Friday and then deploy the ProfSeeker™ machine, since my 6th sense tells me you know a good place to go (or it may be a post you made about it earlier).
We'll need the 12 digit codez for our ProfSeeker™ devices though. I only have RabbitHunter codez at the moment, and they don't work all the time.
Bobbins is easy, just look for the crowds running away in fear from the gian robot and head in the opposite direction.
