5punk 2005 game suggestions

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

Right then everyone, I've had a bit of a think, and the only logical way to do this is to ask every member what games they now have, and of those, which one's they still play.
You will also need to include any games you are planning on getting in the near future.

To make it easier I will go first, and give you a bit of an idea as to what info you need to reply with.

Games I have :

Call Of Duty Standard & United Offensive : Played a lot
Halo : Play occasionally when bored
America's Army : Having trouble getting to grips with the game
Ghost Recon & Desert Siege : Having problems switching weapons let alone getting to grips with it.
UT2004 : Play quite a bit, allthough now it's only with fellow 5punker's
Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory : Starting to really get into, and playing quite often.
Postal 2 : Playing quite a bit for fun, however it is not supported by Xfire, and you'll find it hard to find a torrent for it nowadays
Anarchy Online : Not sure if I like the whole MMO thing or not yet

Games I will be buying soon :

Half-Life 2 : Want to try out CS : Source, and Half-Life 2 DM for some toilet throwing action

okey dokey:

Games i have:

UT2004:Play it a lot, its grand
CS & CS:S : Dont play as much as I used to, but still off and on
Warcraft 3: Occasionally get the balls to go online. Die within seconds. Dont re-play for months
EVE: obviously
Anarchy Online: Not really got into it yet, and as far as MMO's go, im not finding it that great. I'll keep at it if others do though, as some team action could be fun.

Games im (hopefully) getting

COD: as everyone here who plays it seems to enjoy it so damn much
World of Warcraft: Money permitting, as it is, without a doubt, the best of its kind of MMO out there.

And thats it.

I have:
UT2004 - Play is lots. I just hope there isn't going to be a 2005 version.
EVE - Play lots more.
Anarchy Online - I don't like it very much.

I'll try to get:
HalfLife2 - depending on when I get my upgrade.
Call of Duty - to see what all this fuss is about.

Well I haven't posted in ages, but I thought I would start becoming more involved again. So here's my list:

UT2004 Need to reinstall after all the mods were taking up 10GB of my hard disc, but I want to play again
COD:UO Just bought and working my way through SP. Havn't tried online, but I've played cracked LAN before, and so I know I'll play this sometime
Half-Life 2/ CS:S Well Half-Life 2 DM is great, so I'd love to play this, and I do enjoy CS:S, but I want to play on servers that use 'different' maps.

Well thats my list

Well I've looked through the list, and it seems that most of you are happy with just playing games that are already on 5punk anyway.

I guess we will just have to wait till another highly played game pops up, or we just wait for more suggestions from you guys for new games.

Can't really see any point in removing any of the current games in the list until we add some more.

P.S. I assume none of you play Doom 3 or Far Cry online then?

HL2:DM - sometimes - cos im good at it
UT2003 - whenever i get angry with either of the above, my chance to get "wicked sick"
HALO - whenever everything else fails

On the machine at the mo'
Ghost Recon + twelvty hundred mods
Call of Duty + UO (rather unofficial, though I have ordered a spanking new copy of both of them so I can play online) 8)
Medal of Honour - all of them, including the shitty Pacific thing (did anyone else find this was designed to piss you off....)
Stronghold & Stronghold Crusader - never has so much fun been had with such a repetitive game, Weasel Turd - top 10 if ever I heard one
Half Life 2 Ended up enjoying it :)
Doom 3 Only played for 20 mins, just can't get into it.

Could be on the machine within' 30 mins:
Total War Medieval (can't remember whether this one was playable online)
Total War Rome (can't remember whether this one was playable online)
All of the TSR AD&D games: Neverwinter Nights, Elemental Evil, Icewind Dale, Baldurs Gate etc.
X2 Threat (does this have an online game?)
And tons of other stuff in the attic, most of which probably predates online gaming....

Looking forward to:
receiving my legit copy of COD + UO
Ghost Recon 2 and not the shitty console version either :D

Fuck me, that's a lot of games.

Can I suggest that if anyone buys a new online multiplayer game, and likes it, can they please enter it as a suggestion for 5punk's game list.
