A Fool's View

Post by Roman Totale »

The brother of someone at work has started a blog for reviewing games:

A Fool's View

Games reviewed so far are Blops, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3.

Would you kindly cast your eyes over it when you have a spare moment.

It does contain rather a lot of spoilers.

I found it a little hard to read in parts, particularly the later reviews, the CoD one was the best, it largely kept the topics he wanted to discuss in their own sections.

It's always worth reading aloud your own reviews to make sure they sound right and I find going through each sentence and rewriting them a useful exercise in improving as a writer. It's something you get better at the more you do, I cringe reading some of my early reviews, but I'm rarely fully satisfied with anything I write.

I like that his style shows in his writing, but sometimes less is more. Let people discover your personality over a series of reviews rather than cram all the attitude into each each one.

Cheers, good feedback.

I had difficulty reading through first time, but that's probably due to a short attention span. After getting into it though, I do like the style.

I couldn't get into it. Suffers rather from the WALL OF TEXT!

Needs better layout and more pictures to break up the text.
