Dorf Fortress still has plenty of mileage in it (personally I've only just managed one fortress with a Baron and a good enough army to take down a Forgotten Beast, which promptly broke all my soap factory cos there was so many globs of fat lying around). However, I spotted this thing called Aurora on the Bay12 forums which is purportedly Dorf Fortress in that it has a similarly appalling interface but equally absorbing depth (I've not played it myself yet, just repeating what others have said). Something to do on the train with ShittyLaptop™ perhaps.
