I'm running a server if anyone missed it earlier. I can leave it running for now as it's on a usually on media server.

Deface or try to break it all you want. :)
It's a new world, as I started it this morning. But we've already made lots of holes near the spawn and got some stuff available up top.

Or give it a new name in the server.properties file and it will create a new one with the old one intact.

It's gone quite a bit more mental since I left last night.

I'll keep the server running over the weekend and shut it down on Monday. I'll share the server files somewhere so anyone else can continue to host if they want, it's only a few megs and easy to setup. As the game is far from finished I don't want to spend too much time on it yet, including worrying about the server. It sounds like enemies will be added at the end of the month and hopefully some of the other essential stuff somewhere in between.

It was obviously perfect for me but how did the server perform for everyone else? I saw some disconnects.

Mostly fine. Almost sailed into a missing chunk at one point, but then it popped into existence, so that was ok. Didn't get any disconnects or anything.

Hmm. Ive made an statue to the Monkey God (as you do), but it seems that this has displeased the other gods, as trying to sail to it consistently crashes my client. Whoops.

EDIT: It says to email a bug report, telling him what you were doing at the time. I think "Sailing to the Monkey God Statue" would be unhelpful.

If the monkey god statue is a head with water coming out of the mouth on another island it works okay for me. If it's something else then I don't know where it is.

How did someone get ore blocks and place them near the furnace/workbench area?

I'd imagine they'd mined them and then placed them like any other block. It's not just stone and objects that can be placed, only a few objects (diamond, redstone, clay iirc) turn into different objects when mined. Gold and Iron ore can be placed again as blocks.

Oh yeah, I was being stupid. Just that you don't see them placed usually.

A pleasure. I'm still quite obsessed with Minecraft so it's no big chore.

Yeah I think a few people suffered from that, including me. I'm guessing the server was having trouble managing all the new objects we were creating from mining. I think it eventually catches up and fortunately it doesn't effect items you drop. So you can do the replenish tools cheat without a problem.
