Oh, hi
Hello 5punk!
The name's Alex and I found my way here through necessity and an old friend. Here by my story...
5 years ago I started playing WoW, and couple of months ago I gave it up for good. I played it pretty hardcore and really didn't play much else and now I find myself out of the loop of current games. Quite frankly I've found it hard to enjoy games much, maybe I've been warped by WoW but I don't think games are what they used to be!
I'm at heart an RPGer, but like I said I haven't found recent RPGs to riveting. I was a die hard Final Fantasy fan and I guess that's the closest game that would tell someone what I like.
1 genre I've never really been into is FPS's, although LAN multiplayer was always fun. So having read around I picked up BF:BC2 and have enjoyed it mostly but it's wearing a bit thin already. The amount of QQ on those forums beats WoW's, but unlike WoW they seem to mostly be in agreement Also seems you don't play that much here.
So the necessity part is that now I'm not in a guild in WoW, and trying out other stuff I realised I could do with some community or clan to be part of. I'd imagine my slight boredom with BC2 would be washed away if having fun with those I know.
And lastly I found 5punk through the old friend, Mr HereComesPete. The twat. An old school friend with who I did the majority of said LANs.
Well that's me I've no idea just yet whether I'll be here for a long time or not but thought I'd give it a go! Also I don't think I needed to write so much to say hi but there you go :D
See you around

You have my deepest most sincere sympathies. How did your olfactory system cope with such a prolonged exposure?WereRabbit wrote:old friend, Mr HereComesPete.

My commiserations re.HCP.
I too am an old WoW bitter vet who has no intention of ever going back to that particular timesink. Fortunately I am more addicted to Eve than I ever was to magical faaabulous fairy land.
We have a number of closet RPGers about who you could entice out of the ...uh, closet if you bark loud enough. Some of them intend to play FFXIMCMCVIII I believe, and GW2 has got the salivary glands warmed up on more than a few 5punkers.
