I went with Miranda the first time since she's the best looking. Also, the choice to dump your chick from ME1 for a new one is going to have an affect in ME3 apparently.

To hell with my smurf, hot Quarian sex here I come!
Conversely for me, Miranda is at the bottom of my "boning list". Forget morality choices in this game, the toughest decision is choosing between Kelly, Tali and Jack.

I took Zaeed with us on that one and I like him a lot better as a result. I like Jack most and Miranda least, but for the sake of my fish, it has to be Kelly.
Dog Pants wrote:Jack? Really? I'm busting her out at the moment so I've not seen her much, but unless she magically sprouts a lot more hair she's right out.
This, if I actually was Shepard I would've blown her out an airlock a long time ago.
Also I'll probably go with Tali in the end as I'm a sucker for accents. I already took Kelly out to dinner though. hm.
Miranda's annoying but she's voiced by Yvonne Strahovski which is a huge bonus. Related to my first spoiler post:
Spoiler:
I found out that the number of final survivors depends on the amount of sidetasks you do - ranging from all surviving (lots of sidetasks and fully upgraded ship) to noone at all, including Shepard. Yes, you can actually kill Shepard, which suggests there might be a reaper ending as well for Mass Effect 3

Me too, so I'm probably taking her on my male Shepard as well.
This game is a bit silly with the timing of things sometimes. Me and Jack accompanied sulk-face Miranda on her stupid loyalty quest and we were both really nice to her (for us). As soon as we get back, she thanks us by starting an argument with Jack, forcing me to choose between them, then stropping off to her office and acting like a five-year-old. So everyone's loyal now except her.
"What a shame," I will say in Mass Effect 3. "I wish I could have saved her." Just like Kaidan die-a-lot.
I always liked Jack, even before her loyalty mission, or the close-up of her fanjita which I may have imagined. Sometimes you catch a glimpse of her and she has this frightened rabbit in the headlights face before remembering to do her angry scowl when people are watching.
I'm finding I quite like her now I've had chance to speak to her, but I still wouldn't park her. I did like giving her access to the Cerberus database and pissing Miranda off though. Also, Kaiden seems to think we did the bad thing, but I'm sure it was the blue chick I went for.
