Just do the "I've got a personal question" lark when you're in camp, you'll probably get something there.

w00t! I've finally beaten it. The final fight is truly a great one (it lasted so long I was able to have Wynne cast Revive on my character twice, lol).

Didn't steal even once with the rogue, eh? I don't think I ever got anything special but it was extra income and health thingys. I used her to steal then talk to every one...

Nope, not worth the effort IMO. I never even used stealth really. I did it once and I found it more fun to just run in and kill the enemies.

I've got my rogue set up to auto-steal in combat. Usually just means I don't have to loot most of the bodies afterwards.

Stealth is handy actually, especially as an archer.

When you're in the position to start the fight from a distance you can use it to get an automatic critical hit. Couple it with either Critical Shot or Arrow Of Slaying (awesome I might add) and you've got a powerful first shot.
You do a decent amount of damage with crit and you'll do a massive amount if not outright kill a lot of people with AoS.

Very handy for dealing with mages I've found.

Completed as a rogue. Started again as a mage, a PRIMAL mage this time instead of the fucking boring entropic route. From the start it was a thousand times more fun, shocking and freezing shit rather than just mincing around cursing and hexing things with no idea if I was actually even helping.

Also it took my third time going through it to realise there's a fair bit of stuff to find in the wilds before joining the grey wardens. So now I'm decked in badass barbarian robes from a chasind cache, too.

Also I dunno if it was mentioned already, but the % complete is monitoring how many achievements you've got. I completed the game with 50%, so completing the game again as an absolute dick instead of a good guy will probably bring me closer to 100%.

just finished it, i have to say that this is easily one of the best games that I have played, ever.

Also do you ever get your statue in Orzammar? I asked Harrowmont for one and he said he'd ask a sculptor, but I never saw it.

Did a bit of crafting this time around. As a dwarf noble warrior (naked ofc) took two mages everywhere and they were guzzling lyrium like it was something they liked guzzling a lot, and found it rather hard to just buy replacement blue juice.

Health potions use Elfroot to make, Lyrium ones use Lyrium Dust and Injury Kits need Elfroot and Mushrooms. Fortunately I found suppliers - ie: infinitely replenishing x99's.

Bodan (in camp)
Flasks
Distillation agents
Concentrator agents

Ruck (darkspawn-addled dwarf in Ortan Thaig)
Mushrooms
Lifestone

Varathorn (Elf in Dalish settlement)
Elfroot (duh)
Toxin Extract (used in a quest)
Deathroot

Mage's Tower vendor
Lyrium Dust

You can get the recepies from the Mage's Tower, Varathorn and Denerim (Tavern and the Tranquil's shop)

In other news, it may be possible I am playing this game a bit too much. Today I wondered aloud where in all Ferelden I could find a Carphone Warehouse, and on Saturday I swore on Andraste's Knickers I would put my bin out this week.

 FJ you nutter.

Crafting is actually fairly useful in the game, however in order of the level of potions: lesser, normal, greater and potent I found there's no need for anything more than normal and greater (both needing level 3 on herb/poison making). Next time I play I'm hunting down a Lesser Injury Kit asap though, those things are expensive and fairly rare early on.

The weapon coatings are only really useful for about the first third of the game as once you start picking up weapons with effects and you also have found a stack of decent runes to play with, it's easier just to carry a couple of decent slotted weapons for the stabby, bashy, slicing characters.

One thing I have noticed though is that lots of "ranked" enemies seem to be immune to cold damage, yet the only things that are immune to fire happen to be the dragons and the ilk (obviously) and the fire demons from the fade (who're pretty easy anyway, even the "ranked" ones ).

Might spec all my weapons for lightning and fire on the next play through as Allistair is sporting the Starfire with master lightning and fire runes, nothing yet has been immune to his attacks.

I think I tested runes with poison on the blades and they still proced. You can even use ice and fire runes on the same weapon (I ran out of GM fire but had a GM ice).

I thought I had a bit too much time in the game when my personal hours added up to more then my steam friend's total hours. 216 vs. 156, but I'm laid off so I got nothing better to do.... on my 4th playthrough and upto the alienage bit.

I'm sorry to say I've hit a wall here. I'm fighting the final battle part and I went to take out the first general, lost, and just couldn't face another boss fight after the slaver. I just can't bring myself to go through another combat.

You're using your army reinforcement types right?

I hadn't done, I was trying to save them for the end. I'll give it a go though. I also noticed there was a 5th army slot that was empty. I'm wondering what it was I missed.

5th slot is golems, which you get if you save a certain relic rather than destroy it.

Use the army guys from the onset - they're incredibly useful. Dwarves are probably the most useful because they don't die so easy. Mages do the most damage, but that damage comes from area effect primal spells that will hit you as well.

Yes, but if you destroy certain relic you don't get the dwarves right? Same goes for werewolves and whatever you get when you do the mages' quest the bad way.

No, there is no way to fail to get the dwarves, elves or redcliffe guard on your side. Not that I know of, at least. It would've been cool if you could get the werewolves on your side.

If you do the mages quest the "bad" way you get the Templars instead

but you can get the werewolves on your side.

During the Elven quest,
Spoiler:
you get a line when you speak to the naked forest woman that's something like 'together we can destroy the elves' and then you go back to the camp and kill all the elves.
that's when you're supposed to get the werewolves on your side.

Also pants, during the final fight in fort Drakon you can't request help from any of the armies, you can only use them during the general fights. just so you know.

Oh right, I forgot about that.
Spoiler:
Won't the wolves turn back into humans when the head elf dude dies, though?
