I've been playing since release and I'm still enjoying it. Moreso than vanilla in many ways, but each to their own.
Yes, a veritable butt load of changes, especially the long promised paladin 'loving', though much of it looks like a significant 'reworking' rather than any straight buff.
I'm not sure I understand the significance of the Block Value changes. Especially for a warrior, nearly all the 'on use' BV toys are so out of date that even with double the effect they're still much worse alternatives than currently available gear.

3.2 preload has started, changelog is long and has interesting stuff that weren't in there last month.
Noteworthy things:
Noteworthy things:
Code: Select all
* Players will now be able to trade soulbound items with other raid or group members that were eligible for the loot. This system will work like the Item Buy Back system and allow 2 hours for players to trade an item after it has been looted. Players who choose to enchant or add gems to the item will get one last confirmation before losing the ability to trade the item.
User Interface
* Quest creatures and objects will now show on the player's world map.
o A skull graphic will be placed on the map in the general area where players can find creatures they must kill for a quest.
o A skull graphic with red eyes will be placed on the map in the general area where creatures can be found that must be killed in order to collect quest objects.
o A gear/cogwheel graphic will be placed on the map in the general area where players must loot quest objects found in the world.
o A chat bubble graphic will be placed on the map in the general area where players must interact with a specific NPC for a quest.
o A yellow question mark graphic will show on the map to provide the location of a NPC whose quest the player has completed.
# Portal areas in all major cities now offer a portal to the Blasted Lands near the Dark Portal.
# Once crossing through the Dark Portal, players can access a flight path directly from the Stair of Destiny to Shattrath.
# A new zeppelin docking ramp has been added to Thunder Bluff allowing Horde players easier transport to and from Orgrimmar.

Hmm again. Not wanting to sound like an elitist twat, but I'd rather they didn't have a big 'X marks the spot, go here and kill this thing'.
I freely admit to get frustrated sometimes at not knowing where I have to go to kill 20 Pink Unicorns, but it is rewarding when you finally do get there. Vague directions are usually given in the quest log as to where you need to go.
It's just like WAR - you get told exactly what to do and where to go without having to engage your brain. I'd also disagree that it makes it more accessible for casual gamers. I'm a casual gamer, but I like to be able to think a little whilst I'm playing.

Might be possible to disable it, or mod it out, we'll see when it releasesRoman Totale wrote:Hmm again. Not wanting to sound like an elitist twat, but I'd rather they didn't have a big 'X marks the spot, go here and kill this thing'.

Try Guild Wars.. bit frustrating at first if your used to WoW but it does get better.. also GW2 is going to be more WoWish in that you can feckin jump and get to places that in the original GW are a pain in the arse...Roman Totale wrote:Hmm again.
