Nice Rival Company roll :)

Tek Trex drones, the company's main export, use the same type of power source but in a smaller package than armour.

A computer use roll of 21 (damn my dice roller, never does that for me) turns up some interesting results. All the light industrial units use three-phase, but checking the records of which are unoccupied with which are drawing industrial amounts of power narrows it down to about half a dozen.

Well six isn't too many. Anyone else for checking them all out? Obviously we will have to be very careful because we might stumble on all sorts of unsavory things besides a Dante vet who's highly augmented.

I bet they had problems powering up chromes like Wade with their own power cells because they're just too small.

Try and look for any sort of external connection for the power supply - we take that out it might give us the advantage.

Let's go.

Phoebe to all wrote:I'm up for some recon... should we find out what these six places used to be and where they are located? Might help us decide which to hit up first or possibly eliminate some of them. Should we split up or are we doing a safety in numbers here?

If they are rebuildng and housing warriors, it must be pretty sound proof and or large. Also, with those types of buildings, they often have their own generators housed outside and they are not particularly quiet. Unless they are trying to draw attention to themselves, they probably also chose a more remote location. I am assuming they are pulling power 24/7 as well.
I don't know if the information is available to us on the "about half a dozen" locations or if we just have addresses.. Trying a street wise roll in case it helps?

Streets (2) 2+8 = 12 bleh

Nothing more than generalisations - there's loads of small industrial units all over downtown, many of which aren't used, and most of which don't work.

Let's start with the closest and work outwards. They probably want to use their power cells as little as possible so reducing the amount of time they need to be on them would be a good idea.

There's not much in the way of medical facilities in Downtown apart from the odd rundown and overworked hospital, and medical centres in Shiver stations. You don't find anything on known illegal medical facilities.

Yup. Closest first, working outwards?

I vote that we all go together, and the non sneaky ones (like myself) hang back a bit until the place has been scoped out.

Sounds good to me. I did a detect roll, but I failed legendarily.

Detect: 1, 1 + 3 = 5

I shall assist in sneaky scoping.

Sneak
8,7 +4 = 19

Detect
10,10 +3 = 23

Damnit, 10,10. Where were you earlier when I needed an AWESOME kill?

The first one is only a few streets away, and occupies a few underground floors of a larger (in use) complex. From the outside the whole thing looks to be in disrepair though. From what you can see of it there's a road that spans off into multiple levels, leading to the various units.

Assuming my gizmos are quiet, I will head for the first unit. Sneakily.

Sneak: 6, 3 + 4 = 13

better than snake eyes I guess.

I'll head in after Deject with my ECM suit on, and my IR goggles goin' on.

In fact, I might flip my goggles up and down a little so I can use my actual eyes too - even though it's gonna smudge my facepaints and mess up my fancy hair.
