MODERATION FAIL!

This had gone off into a tangent on the merits of FO3's side missions, so I decided to split it. Partially to try and keep this on topic, partially because I could but ive never had to before, and I wanted to see how it worked.

I think I pressed the wrong button, so it went a bit weird.

I'm sure I could sort it out, but I cant be arsed. Just pretend that I have.

thread derailing wins every time

so

stalker
COD4
Witcher
TF2 (already have this, but could never get it to run in any stable fashion before)
Mass effect
X3 (because it seems to be the only spaceship game anyone mentioned)
FO3 (enjoyed BOS, although I understand that that was a different kettle of fish)
Farcry 2 (really enjoyed No. 1)

Damn, that's about 5 games too many for Bubble to put up with :-D

Thanks fellas, now I have to sit patiently waiting for the shipping penguins to do their thing

According to the Christmas Lectures this year, the chips on a chip & pin card have 200x more memory and 300x more processing power than the computer on the Apollo mission that landed on the moon.

Just thought I'd throw that in :)

Not suprising seeing as the Apollo mission navicomp was a mass of early TTL chips and ducttape. Calculators have more power now.

Also, Bomber, with Stalker, get the Oblivion Lost mod on it (Berk, is that the right one that was excellent?), as it makes it into what the game should have been and is most win.

I'd suggest you don't, y'know, actually pay for X3. You might be disappointed. But it is one of the only viable spaceship games around at the moment (apart from thereally serious one of course)

Very this. On paper it sounded right up my street. It is not.

Ran through HL2 Ep2 yesterday. Most awesome on a computer that can actually run it with all bells and whistles on. Tempted to run back through Ep1 aswell as my last PC really struggled with it.

stalker steamed and loaded. Played a bit this morning and found it quite tough. run screaming at the enemy with both barrels blazing gordon Freemen style doesn't seem to work in this game. Definitely has potential though and I'm downloading the recc'd mods now. I recall that you can't load an unmodded save game into OL modd'd stalker? just have to play from the start then :-D

The others seem much cheaper on Amazon than on Steam so I'm gonna place an order when I have the inclination. Just received a butt load of DVDs through the post gfrom them so maybe glued to the telle for a while though

Also have downloaded eve again. not started it yet. I'm kinda afraid of what might happen when I do :ignore:

That's probably enough to keep me going for the mo. Really interested in Jumpgate MMO when that comes along.
