Toto, with a big smile wrote:Well, hi there! Nice to meet you Lyle. And Jon...would that be Krinkle? It is, isn't it? Always good to meet a genuine racing supremo, man! You were hot shit over there for a while, not seen much of you recently though. Taking a break, or are you looking to get into some American action? I hear some good things about the driving down south, in Aztlan. Course, if you want the real crazy shit, you want to check out my home town. Neo-Tokyo is where its at, man!
Sorry, look at me getting all star struck, haha! So your looking to get hooked up, yeah? Well, I know plenty of girls, and they listen to me for advice, you know? Especially in matters of the heart! So you into anything specific? I know all sorts, straight up good-girls to seriously freaky, augmented types. I even know a couple of changlelings...man, you aint seen nothing till you've seen a changeling...
The barman nods towards a guy just to one side of you, who leans in and shouts in your ear (to make himself heard over the music):Leland to barman wrote:Hey man, what's shaking? I'm looking for some of that new stuff. A friend told me it's good shit, and i've got my eye on that honey out there on the dance floor.
Drug dealing type wrote:Shit man, you got some unfortunate timing. My last hit of Tempo just got sent out courier to that big corp housing place up by the I5, not 2 minutes ago. I got my personal stash, but...I got some Push? Manashrooms? Wont get more Tempo till tomorrow, earliest.

If you manage to hook me up with a girl like the one my good friend just described there could be some race tickets in it for you. Bare in mind the closer you get, you closer you just might get to the track

Right. I dunno, but I've got an idea.
I'll excuse myself and ask if everyone wants more drinks after draining mine. Passing by the toilets on the way I'll contact N-Zo.

Al wrote:N-Zo, we've got a potential lead on this Kitty but we need to convince the guy we're looking for her because Jon spotted her and took a shine. Any chance you could work some magic with that photo and make it look like we've got a shot of her in a chance encounter? Say we were drinking in a bar and got chatting to her, took a picture? We need it quick too, we've got this guy on a thread but I don't want to raise suspicions by drawing him out. Can you do that?

Okay, with this I'll head back to Jon and Toto via the bar.
I deliberately included Toto in the same typecast as Jon in the hope it'll flatter him. Fingers crossed...Al wrote:Any luck Jon? No? Haha, my firend's a picky sort eh Toto? Here, I got you another drink. Look, I don't want you to think this is creepy but it all started when Jon here spotted a girl who he took quite a shine to. We only saw her across the street, but he's been hooked ever since. Anyhow, I took a snap in case we saw her again. Yeah, a bit weird but Jon's a man of specific tastes and I gotta make sure he's enjoying Seattle or he might just hot-foot it back to Europe! So you know her, or know any girls like her? I dunno what it is, but there's just something about her. Maybe your pictures don't do the others justice, maybe it's a movement thing. I dunno, but you thrillseekers are a fussy bunch.

Toto is all smiles and laughing until you show him the photo. He peers at it for a moment, then gets his grin back.
Meanwhile, crazy-drugged girl has started dancing with Leland again.
His pan is showing details of a numbered bank account.Toto wrote:Aaaaah, yes, I know her. Well, I've seen her. She's not, you know, one of my girls...but...
I know someone who knows where you could find her. Can't be sure she'll go for you, not like my girls. You're a good looking guy and all, but no guarantees. I can point you at him, if its worth my while...

He leans back in his seat, grinning to himself and sipping his drink. The guy he's pointed out is the dealer Leland was talking to a few minutes ago.Toto wrote:That man there, at the bar, in the blue top. He is her dealer. I haven't seen her around here in a while, but I know he still supplies her with that new stuff, Tempo. He gets it couriered out to her, apparently, so he must have an address. You want to meet her, that the man to speak to. Good luck, man!
Kerching! We have an address for Chopper to visit.
EDIT: Actually, I wonder why he's so smug. I wonder if he know that guy would be a lot less receptive to snoopings.
I have no idea how I'd go about getting a new contact rules-wise, but I'd like this guy on my books.Al wrote:That's great, thanks for your help man. Listen, I work in PR and a man like you could be pretty useful to me. I could put business your way y'know? Mind if I take your number?

basically, new contacts are pretty much got through roleplaying. So:
He gives you his comcode number (email address and phone number in one easy package). As you don't really know much about the guy, put him down in your contacts list statless. When/If you get to know him better, I'll give you the stats then.Toto wrote:Sure thing man, any time! Call me, day or night, I never sleep!
