Family Friendly GAEMS

Post by Sol »

Title says it all really. I want to get the most out of my 360, and i think the rest of the family would be up for it, so can anyone recommend some light hearted multiplayer entertainment? :likesitall:

Obviously the Wii's better at this sort of thing, but Viva Pinata Party Animals is a bunch of silly mini-games in the vein of Mario Party. The Buzz quizzes might be worth a look, too.

Driving games always go down well with the males in the family, highlights being Forza 2 and PGR 4. Other sport games are much as they have always been since ever.

For single player games, that are fun for everyone to watch, the original Viva Pinata and Beautiful Katamari are winners. Maybe Fable 2 and Blue Dragon for light RPGs, Last Remnant and Lost Odyssey for heavier ones.

My family has had the most hilarity with things like a couple of us swapping the controller when we die and the rest watching with games like Driver and the GTA series, with the volume turned down so no-one can hear the (in-game) swears.

Oh! I forgot about XBox Live Arcade. There's loads of appropriate games on there, I'd start with Worms for a definate winner.

Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman are good and support two players.

Burnout Paradise has a party mode (included if you buy the Ultimate Edition). Although it's not that varied, as I discovered tonight.

Scene It is quite fun...of course, if you're talking about little kids...they won't know the movie trivia...
