Seems rather beard-lite from what I've read. His whole excuse about it being for casual gamers was a bit of a cop out. I had a great time messing about in fable, but I've not bothered with this.

Anyone get it and finish it?

My housemate had it, and I watched him play for a few hours in total, I wasn't impressed really.

The stuff I saw seemed to be a bit repetitive, and he remarked it's pretty much just an uprated Fable, bit like GTA III vs Vice City, if you have the choice, choose the latter but there's not that much in it.

I never played Fable one, seemed too...kiddish and casual for me to bother.

Got it for the 360. I enjoyed what I played but then again I loved the first game. Excellent hungover Sunday morning game.

We don't need your stinking game anyway. Stick with your consoletards Peter.

Or finally make a really good Black and White, we'll have that instead.

Or a decent remake of Populous. Populous 2 wasn't great.

Indeed it is, little more than stubble. It'd probably look quite weedy alongside the massive beardage your standard PC RPG.

I played some and then Fallout 3 came along, I plan to get back to it.

:above: I've been steadily playing through it and it is very beard-lite. This doesn't make it any less enjoyable though, I would say I'm about two thirds of the way through it and have loved it. The DLC 'Knothole Island' that came out a few weeks ago is really good too, a rarity for DLC.

It's good to pick up and play when you want a bit of brains off RPGing and as far as it's appeal to casual gamers is concerned, my mate's wife picked it up and wouldn't put it down until she'd completed it, before my mate in fact - he didn't know whether to be impressed or disgusted. The combat is a joy too actually. REALLY nicely implemented IMHO.

Compared to Fallout 3, it's like the Anti-Fallout. When lush greenery becomes too much to bear, enter the Wasteland.

There was a Populous 3? Why was I not told about this?

EDIT: Ah, wait. I know this. It's not really Populous, it just looks a bit like it. It's more like Black and White -1.
