I dare say I'm more likely to have Reading players again next year than you are to have Notts County players in it, well, ever.

How dare you mock our steady rise to mid-table? Last weekend Port Vale, tomorrow... uh... Brentford!

Just in case anyone forgets, the deadline for fettling your team is 11.30am on Saturday. You're allowed to make one transfer per week without it costing you (subject to funds being available), and any more than 1 per week costs you 4 points.

However, as I know most of you are just in it for the lols, good luck for the first week in the Waugh Cup!

Yes, I urge people to have a go even if they know nothing about the sport, so they have the possibility of out-managing people who think that they do.

Don't forget the requisite name calling and gloating.

That's easy to fix - just press the down arrow next to the person on your team that you want to make a sub, and the up arrow next to Van Persie. Sorted! Also, to change the formation, if you have 4-4-2 and want 3-4-3 instead, remove a defender and replace him with a forward. The formation changes automagically.

Bah. I've got Van Der Saar on the bench and Friedel in goal and I can't swap them. Not that I'm too bothered, that's what the random button does. Would make sense to put the better keeper in the goals though.

You should definitely be able to swap players around still. Go to the My Team page, then press the yellow down arrow next to keeper and it will swap the keepers over.

There isn't a yellow arrow next to the keeper. I suppose I'll just have to wait for Friedel to get injured.

He's probably set as your current captain. Change to someone else and you should be able to move him

I think some of my attackers are playing some of my defenders this weekend. I'm guessing that's not going to end well.

Woo! That worked. I'd best call those Polish guys and tell them to leave Friedel alone then.

Mine shows my team at the top. I presume it's because we#re all on 0 points.

It's still updating I think - slow site is slow. Newcastle/Man City hadn't played when you posted.

Code: Select all

1 Wiltshire Wanderers dave amblin 61 63
2 The Flanges Tom Collins 54 54
3 Voluntary Severers Ben Jones 48 50
4 Throbbing Magentas Father Jack 43 49
5 Spurred On Rob Saunders 32 46
6 Sporting Kitesy Simon Naylor 41 40
7 Athletico Bunnyhoppo Gareth Williams 37 39
8 Gentleman's Relish James Whyley 38 38
9 Default Rovers Matthew Windle 22 29
is how I score it, the first number being what it says as provisional score on your teams pages, the second being after automatic substitions are applied - if I'm understanding correctly how they work. Which makes it a bit closer, which is good.
