1) Fades in, range depends on draw distance
2) Honestly not really need paying that much attention to my surroundings, but nothings stood out as bad
3) I just rolled a rune priest (dwarven healer type) solo'd him to lv4. I do seem fairly untouchable with multiple healing spells. Bright Wizard (Human glass cannon) just makes things melt, but if I can't kill stuff inside 15 seconds I'm usually dead or running. Less for elite NPCs/much higher level characters. Not tried a conventional tank type
4) There's a teleport system ala harthstone, you get teleported to the instanced PVP, and there's a flight system for getting from zone to zone (I think)
5) Grouping does speed the whole thing up. Running solo you don't have much downtime, but two guys running together and focusing on the same thing means no downtime.

9 & 10) No, you don't have to quest at all, but the public quests are interesting and repeatable (and somehow always stay interesting), and yeld alot of exp while encouraging teamwork

Sorry I was vague. Graphics I can see well enough with the screenshots. I was more interested in gameplay. If anything was better then the rest of the bunch. I've played all those I mentioned for 1month each. I think I might be just done with Fantasy games for a decade or so. Think I'm geared more Techie/Future stuffs.
From the hour or two I've played this game just seems like WoW+. Just like WoW but a improved a bit.
One nice feature is that you can rearrange your UI a lot without using addons. Although you can change the chat window but you can't change the size of the text, so it just gets bigger with the window.

Thanks for those answers Hulky. Sounds like I might enjoy it, although I'd like to get a couple more opinions.
Only thing I can say against war, is that there's some issue with it and some peoples machines (like mine) that's making it piss memory like mad and then crash. I've tried the usual to fix it (Upgrade drivers, turn off sound in-game) but it's still there. Mythic still have 5 1/2 weeks to fix that, but I won't be subscribing if it's not fixed by then.

Just re-asking some of DP's unanswered questions, but I'd really really like a class which has some sort of pet or minion from a fairly early level. Hunters, controllers and warlocks have always been a favourite of mine.
Also, with the different races, I like to have different start areas, which don't merge until ten levels or so, so I can get a good flavour of the different areas with multiple characters without getting bored.
WoW's killer feature, which even haters of the game concede it does well, is making each region stand out, but perhaps its cartoony style is why it does this so well. When trying to recreate more realistic environments, you're not going to suddenly go from a green area to an orange one to a grey one. LoTRO did the Shire and Thorin's Gate very well, but I never got to see much else that looked any different.
Humans and dwarves have different initial starting areas, but that's about all I've seen. Actually I lied; I was actually only L2. The levelling is slower than WoW and confused me. I believe they don't merge at all as the 3 battlefields are in completely different areas. However it is fairly simple to travel between battlefields, and all the quests are available for all factions.
As for pet owning, there is the squig herder (goblin) and White Lion (high elf). Suppose you could count the engineer who has a choice of turrets to aid him.
You do have to do the same quests again if you create another character of the same race, but as there are 3 different places, that should mean 3 completely different quest lines. As for enough of them, there are plenty which when mingled with a bit of RvR makes the levelling process much kinder. Answering another question, I think there is both PvE and RvR end-game for guilds to complete.
Along with your "career level" there is also a "renowned level" which is essentially a PvP rank. At each level you gain a point which can be spent at a special trainer for better skills and a special merchant will sell you increasing amounts of stuff, making equipping yourself much simpler than hoping for good drops/quest rewards.
PvP / PvE from my narrow perspective seems to be well balanced with no particular class being too good. Also like the way stats are portrayed in this, using mainly warhammer stats such as weapon skill and ballistic skill, strength, toughness, wounds and initiative which are all pretty self explanatory.
As far as individuality there isn't much difference than warcraft with plenty of choice of face/hair and facial hair.

Colour me in a hue which represents "pleased". I suppose I'm over-comparing to WoW, but it is the market leader for a reason, the WAR interface looks nicely similar (to the one WoW nicked from Everquest) and they'd be plain stupid to not "be inspired by" the best bits from their massively successful predecessors, exactly like WoW did.
Stuff that does things by default - such as GUI repositioning and quest area help - which WoW only does after four years of third-party mods, are all great, something we perhaps forget when trying out a new MMO is that playing WoW without any of our favourite plugins enabled is ass.
