Not quite an SLI question but kinda

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Does anyone know if its possible to run an Nvidia 7800 and a 6800 Ultra in the same machine? I don't think I can SLI them but wil they run seperately?

Don't want to try for fear of fekking the whole PC up.

Thanks in advance...

should be fine. (assuming PSU is up to the job)

no chance of SLI, but you can use the second card to power another monitor for slightly better performance.

They need to be identical to SLi them and I don't think there would be much performance gain over a single dual-output card driving two monitors but set to single-display performance mode, just more heat.

:above: is true, but it may well be worth a shot on older cards.
