Fair enough. I'd give you mine but I imagine I'd need to be subscribed myself first.

Hehulk, quoting himself so it gets noticed wrote:EDIT: Sorry, I'll re-word that bit. It's not really conveying what I think.

If I enjoy the game on it's own merits, then it's good and probable I'll enjoy it even more with 5punkers. If I consider it good and broken, doesn't matter who I could play it with, I just won't (See WoW)

Also fair enough, although Warcraft is anything but broken. That's not to say you should like it though. I think it'll take something revolutionary to pull Eve players away from Eve though, and I can't see AoC doing that. Possibly WAR, but even then it's probably too close to the Warcraft formula for you.

You'd be surprised what I have enjoyed in the past, MMO wise. WoW got on my nerves because I couldn't seem to find any guilds who either didn't do anything on a regular basis, or treated it as even more serous internet shit than I'v been guilty of in eve.

RF Onlne I though was guilty of bad maping and direction. I liked the core gameplay, but trying to find where you were ment to go, that was beyond me alot of the time.

Tabula Rasa is an MMO I'd actually like to play, but mainly only with 5punkers because of our somewhat unique sence of humour. Other groups I can see trying to take the whole war thing overly serously, when really in my eyes it's just an excuse for some bragging rights over pixels.

Wow....I just find it overly childish these days. Same thing with City of X. Most MMOs that are a direct clone I also don't really enjoy for the same reason, but WARs got enough going for it that I'm still curious. Looks the same GUI wise, but the way all the sub systems work, in a very basic way it reminds me of some bits of eves industries.

I agree with pretty much everything Hulky has said there. In every MMO except Eve there's been little reason to have a guild over resource sharing. Teamwork seems mostly pointless. City of whatever was good at encouraging us to team up, but the supergroups came to little in the way of results apart from teleports.

From what I've seen the RvR system could bring back a lighter version of the group dynamics I've sorely missed from Eve, without the level of dedication. If there are tasks that two or three of us can team up for, regardless of level, and make some sort of constructive progress then it might provide that extra incentive over quest grinding to play. I wouldn't mind a crack at group PvP with 5punkers too.
