That's overly shit that is Pants. Please try again, even if you have to let it download overnight it really is worth it.

In other news I caused a 20 car pile up on the stock car racing. Accelerated into 1st place and slammed the anchors on and lolled heartily as 19 randoms careered into me, themselves, the grass and barriers. Was well worth the drive thru penalty.

Also managed to beat 7 other people on the stock car racing. I finished the race in 1st and the other 6 all received DNF's. Not my fault I scared the bloke in 1st to fuck up his first pit by following him into the lane at about 90mph. I'm assuming he panicked and thought I was going to hit him as he overshot the refueling point by about 4 car lengths.

I have a huge urge to play a decent driving game, all mine seem to have vanished... tempted by this. Is it actually good?

It's definitely arcade style, but playing with 5punkers is fun. It has a nice progression system (in fact the whole front end is just like Albatross 18), and you can chav out your car for that individual feel. We played Capture the Flag yesterday, which was hilarious - you get the flag by hitting the flag carrier, then have to get it between two columns of yellow smoke. It's kind of like Destruction Derby, and it's great to hear the other players' squeals of anguish as you evade them and cause them to crunch into a wall.

Especially in the faaabulous off road mega mobile, you spend more time upside down than on your wheels.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but the friends system needs some serious work. All it shows you is who is online. What would be really useful is if it showed you what server/race type/room your friends were in. At least then you'd have a slim chance of ever finding them.

it does show you what server they're in, just not on subtropolis for some reason.

The what room they're in works too, bottom right i think there's a little icon with a number next to it.

I has this, I pleased. Much fun, I picked the little car thing that's got great handling, kinda regretted it when I barely move on the straights. Que pink paint job, big spoiler and engine upgrade... it are uber!!.. ish.

The long twisty track (or any races for that matter) done with everyone in the toppling 4x4s is very very lolish :)

Yup, the G25 really was worth the £120 i paid for it, especially for games like this :). I have been playing Project Torque since it was in its 'alpha' stage and found it pretty fun.
Haven't played it in a few months now. Does anyone know if theyve added 'clutch' support and horse feedback?

Dunno about horse feedback but it does have the option to map the clutch.

I downloaded this and gave it a go, seems fun but I got put off because it interferes with speedfan, probably the anti-cheat thing or something. It fails to read CPU temps so my fan speed doesn't increase and my CPU overheats...

good stuff.
I'll join in one of your games once the cunts at BT have sorted out my phone line so i can sign up for BeThere :x It's taken BT 14 days so far (and counting) to change my phone number back to my original number, instead of the temporary number (which took them about half an hour to change in the 1st place). 3 times in a row, the incompitent fucks have sent to request to the wrong department.

Tried it again with an analogue joypad and it's 1000% better.

Still a bit frustrating. I can't earn any more XP, because I haven't done the license. Can't do the license because I haven't done the tutorial. Do it. Now can't do the license until I've done the practice. Do it. Now still can't do the license because I don't have an application form. Can't afford it. So now I have to go racing again, which I don't earn any XP for.

What dumb fuck thought that was a logical progression when they designed it?

So I'm stuck in the starter car doing races, which I always lose and which take 20 minutes as they always seem to be 7 laps on the biggest track available and I only get about 500RP each time. :ignore:

Oh, and it doesn't run under Fista 64.
