Gah! Wireless USB thing...

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Gah! Wireless USB thing...

Post by viper_2090 »

Do any of you perchance have this Clicky here wireless USB adapter?

I'm having issues where i'm only EVER getting 11mbps connection to my home network's 54mbps router!

Much confusion has arisen, as I also posess a slightly different firmware model of the same adapter, with which I can achieve higher than 11mbps (this, however, disconnects from the network whenever it likes)

aaany ideas whatsoever?

sorry about the MASSIVE link, i can't be arsed to make it look pretty

Sorry, I never use wireless, so I haven't the foggiest.

Have you tried the obvious stuff like drivers/firmware etc.?

Also, the thing to remember with USB devices is that if there are a large number of devices connected to your PC/Laptop, this can sometimes cause a degredation in performance due to power and so on.

Try removing all unecessary devices from the usb ports, and see if that makes any difference*

*I doubt it though
