I've played this game on and off for a few years, rediscovered it two years ago in college for a few months, and I'm playing it again now (as of about two weeks ago) If anyone's interested in joining a "Real" nation with maps and stuff to roleplay (Which I think is unlikely?) Come and tell me.

Yeah good idea, but I don't think any actual goatse images should be in the design, just an artistic interpretation, and maybe in blue and white 5punk colours :D

Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 91 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 38%. A healthy private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Arms Manufacturing, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Psychological disorders are a taboo subject, UFO sightings are listed daily in the morning news, euthanasia is legal, and Pinkerton agents are called in to forcibly break up white collar strikes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police horse and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Joose's national animal is the cow, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the spoon.
