There's useful things to do for those types in SLA. Can be a big asset to a squad, but most of it's behind the scenes and not done realtime in the BPNs. Having a role on the job, even if it's only cameraman, is a good thing. Having said that someone who can talk to people is always useful too, rather than a big lug with a gun.Sheriff Fatman wrote:
I've starting reading up on it. Hopefully I'll have a character sorted in time. I was thinking something a little different - maybe a business or media type.

Diagnosis of last night's BPN:
You took a good approach to the attack. Spotting the sniper was a stroke of luck (there was another one too that never got involved and had retreated by the time Gerald reached the car), as he could have caused a lot of damage. The only problem was that the situation called for urgency and too long was spent manoeuvring about. The thing that saved the day was Grimmie and Roman taking out the driver of the car - you'd have failed if that had got away, but the APC was of secondary importance.
Well done on not opening the back of the car. Curiosity can very often kill the cat in this game, and a group of Tek Trex drones can be very dangerous.
My advice for next time is just to invest in a little more kit. Motion scanners and AV stalks would have been useful for tracking the enemy without exposing yourselves.
Also, most BPNs won't be that combat heavy. I wanted to put you in a real combat situation against trained opponents and now I know the kind of approach I can expect in the future to allow me to predict the outcome of firefights in advance.
