Beta Watch: Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Drops Today

Image Beta Watch: Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Drops Today
ImageRemember three days ago when Mark Rein said the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta would be out within two weeks? Sucker pulled a Scotty on us apparently, as it is only a mere three days later and we've received word that it's being released today. Right now over at FilePlanet, subscribers can preload the beta on their system to have it ready once everything goes live. I'm downloading it as I type this...like I need another shooter to take up my time between practicing Halo 3 and enjoying Team Fortress 2. I've never been a big shooter fan in the first place, but lately I've developed a blood lust that has me shouting obscenities and calling everyone bitches...bitches.

Download the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo on FilePlanet [FilePlanet, Duh]

I think it was the pre-download that was subscriber only.

Also: looks fairly nice, if a little grungy (is expected for UT games) plays nicely, doesn't seem to be too heavy. :)

Wow, that picture looks like a load of fat master chiefs from halo '3.1:the diet begins', and also, women? They don't know how to use guns! :P

Well, Berk's video looked pretty, can't say much for the player though, was terrible.

Is it silky smooth like the other UT games are? Only time will tell.

tis just as smooth as previous UT games, just felt right.

Dunno how evil it'll be to host though.

Hmm, tried to enter my email to create a profile, cunting thing has the console set to the @ button, so I can't enter the symbol in my profile setup. Did you get this berk? or did you pre-register and already have a profile sorted?

in mid-type edit, I may have to slap myself, I can probably find a way of cut and paste win against this stupid layout.

I copied and pasted, but i'm sure unbinding the console key would work too.

It plays nice, you do what you want with no fire lag or movement lag. Looks pretty, as expected, like the vehicles, and the fact that the bots AI is really quite good is always nice. I expect an iteration of face, otherwise I will be seeking answers. :P
