Proflan games.

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

What do we need?

I'm thinking:
BF2
CS:S
TF2
COD
Quake 1/2/3/4/Wars
maybe some coop games?

JOPS:escalator
SWAT (what could be better than tasering a teammate in game, and when he wanders over, shooting with a bb gun/hacked up disposablecamera/cattleprod combo

RTSs in various flavours (preferably with superweapons OFF, so i dont get 15nukes down my throat from the grimmie/joose combo)

Scortched earth (3d)/gunbound/that other side scrolling jumpy shooter that i cant remember cos its not on my lappy.

Somesort of space shooter/flightsim/ground simulator ( freelancer/wingcommander/strikecommander/F29 retaliator/Wings/Dawn Patrol/Tornado/Janes Strike fighter...Probably not falcon 3.0 or 4.0, interstate 76/82, op flashpoint, air warrior, Crimson skies could be worth a blast)

RPGs (baldurs gate/BG2/NWN1/NWN2/Deus Ex(Or SS2, they can both be hacked for coop play)

Racing: Rfactor/GTR/Crashday/Trackmania/Skidmarks (there must be a PC version of this somewhere)

All of these should either be already installed, sweepable, or already available at the lan party.

I guess what i'm trying to say, is the only games required are the ones you've brought, and a dl of daemontools. If you bring it, i'm sure i'll try it, even if no one else will.

And i still need to fuck up whomever brought that disk of attroxx or whatever it was called (y'know, that starcraft rip off)

Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

I'll make sure I've got map packs on my hard drive so people don't have to poke about on teh interweb trying to find em (assuming I've not left it too late to organise things with Jockgit)

Wimp :D

And Atrox was mine.
I'll bring all my games in my game-bag again, and install stuff quickly as and when people start playing.

Yeah that's good for a laugh, should try and get more maps than the free Fear Combat version though.

Quake 3 freeze tag?, I'll download the files and check out how it works

Trackmania and Crashday as Anham suggested

Usual Shooters (Including COD2?)

Dawn of Wars, anyone for Supreme Commander? (Maybe Starcraft if I'm really drunk :P)

Can't remember any others we played at LANS (Except UT2004 but it would have to be very high demand to bother installing it)
