I know you can plug in a USB drive and play movies/music from it, worked with my iPod. But don't know if you can use it as a write storage medium, I suspect not.

No, I just noticed the option - the only thing it lets me choose is my 360 disk.
There are third-party devices that are either USB disks that attach like a 360 disk, or are interfaces that let you attach your own USB disk to the 360 disk port. I looked at them as I very quickly filled my 360's disk, but didn't come to a decision.
I didn't see the demo listed on mine. Not that it's really needed - the PSP version looked as good as the PS2 one, so this is likely to be more of the same, silly fun.
Dunno, you can certainly make alt accounts (silver/free), but whether they can have a believably different country I don't know, they probably check the IP.
I know it is possible because it's been discussed on another forum. I think you have to create another hotmail/MS passport account that has an address in the US and associate your XBL login with it. I'm not that bothered though.
