Re: Movie mini reviews

Eddie the Eagle (2016) A light hearted sports film about ski jumper Eddie the Eagle, a man I was previously unaware of but many of you probably heard of him. It presumably has the usual inaccuracies that biographical sports films have but it's hard not to be endeared by this charming feel good film...

Re: Spec me a solution to my outlook problems!

I ended up going for Thunderbird. It was a pain in the arse to get all the data across but it's the most similar to outlook in terms of layout so it shouldn't take too long for my dad to pick up on it. And I've never actually used outlook but great Odin do I hate it.

Spec me a solution to my outlook problems!

So my mum and dad got a new PC and I've been tasked with getting content from the old PC to the new. That caused some bizarre and unneeded problems of it's own,but eventually I got all the stuff across. Apart from one thing. Despite my pleading to just switch to something less awful, they insist on ...

Re: Overwatch.

Lucio's a little underrated I feel, but great at pushing little kart since his speedboost also makes the payload go faster. Or it just seems that way. I quite like all of the supports because they're all so different and not limited to just healing.

Re: Overwatch.

McCree is meant to take out characters one-on-one, and can be good against the likes of hanzo and widowmaker. More than one enemy and he's toast. But the 'played well' can apply to a lot of other characters, since I've had to deal with Lucios that kept zipping around being impossible to hit whilst h...

Re: Overwatch.

Yes, but after he spaffed off those he's like shooting fish in a barrel. Him being the fish. And his E has a range of about 2 metres.

Re: Overwatch.

I really don't enjoy playing as bastion because yes, he is intensely boring to play as. But to his credit, we were getting absolutely destroyed last night on the Gibraltar map last night until I finally buckled and started playing as bastion which turned the game around at the last capture point*. N...

Re: Movie mini reviews

As I am a huge Escape from New York fan I try to forget it even exists, but that surf scene is burned in my memory forever. The revamped themes were cool though, and so was Bruce Campbell's proto-splicer.

Re: Brum Bash X - The one not at Grimmie's parents' house

I'm not against paintball, but I remember it being pretty pricey, pretty messy and not that much fun. I did only play it once and the other team were a bunch of camping sniperfags. (And knives were not allowed somehow) I don't know what other shooting activities there are in Brum, is there like a gh...

But that's what we always do.

I don't really know what else there is to do in an around brum. I remember something vaguely about a cadbury museum?

We show up anyway, and shoot the wedding guests. Bride and groom are 100 points each.

10 bucks says it'll be cola bottles with tracer on them. And a t-shirt. A cola t-shirt.

Re: Movie mini reviews

I tried it a few months back, but never got further than 20 minutes in. It was crass in a not very funny way and the stop animation was very badly done. Maybe I should've watched it all the way through but this falls into the Seth Rogen category for me. (I can't stand Seth Rogen.)

Re: Overwatch.

I think I'll be getting it a full price because it's rare that I like a game from the start so much, but I'll be shaking my fist at the sky when the inevitable €30 DLC shows up.

That's a really cool trailer. I only played DoW II, which I really liked because it had no base building. I do not like building bases.

Re: TV Show Mini-Reviews

As it's an American show it's very long winded, it should not have lasted as long as it did and I only really kept watching because I wanted to know how it ended. It probably helped that I'm very interested in the time period, and boardwalk captured it better than peaky blinders did.

Re: TV Show Mini-Reviews

I also gave up on peaky blinders after a few episodes, it's trying really hard to be a brummy boardwalk empire but falls short of that. At least boardwalk empire was genuinely interesting in the first few seasons.

I enjoyed it too! I would welcome more of this, perhaps as a Saturgame.
